Spring is in the Air

This week -

  • Gem Avocadoes are still abundant and great value at $22 / tray of 28
  • However, many veg lines have firmed a little this week with Cauliflower, Broccoli and Baby Broccoli all seeing slightly less supply and an upward trend in the market.  We are fortunate that our growers are holding the price at the moment but we expect prices to increase a little in the next 2-3 weeks.
  • Victorian Asparagus is still holding price as a late frost has reduced harvest volumes.  The price will fall once nights warm a little followed by sunny spring days.
  • Most potatoes are now out of Queensland and supply is good but prices are firm due to large freight costs.
  • Strawberries this week have been great value with an oversupply of small fruit.  These represent great value at $2 per punnet
  • Finally we have secured a late pick of Seville Oranges which we are selling in 5kg trays for $16. Don’t miss the last chance to make marmalade
